Following its reopening, COYA Abu Dhabi is inviting guests to ease back into the afternoon with its Afternoon Ritual, available daily from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM until 31 August.

Created in celebration of Emirati Women’s Day, the ritual includes a complimentary COYA-crafted beverage with every dessert ordered, offering a relaxed way to spend the afternoon with mothers, sisters, daughters, friends or colleagues.

Taking centre stage is the Saffron Date Cake, a milk chocolate and date cake served with saffron and vanilla ice cream, alongside COYA favourites including Chichamisu, Tres Leches, Churros with dulce de leche and Chocolate Fondant. The selection brings together COYA’s Latin American influences with flavours and ingredients familiar to the region.

From 27 August, guests will also be able to experience Echoes Within, a new exhibition by Emirati visual artist Maryam Sharaf Alhashmi. Presented within the restaurant, the exhibition explores the thoughts and emotions that often remain unspoken beneath everyday conversations and will remain on display for approximately three months.

As Maryam describes the collection: “Around every table, conversations are shared. Beneath every conversation, thoughts remain unspoken. My paintings are where those hidden stories find their voice.”

Says Maryam, “Echoes Within grew from the idea that every conversation carries another story beneath the surface. While people gather around a table to connect through food and conversation, my paintings explore the thoughts and emotions that often remain unspoken. Through this collection, I hope guests discover something different each time they look at the work and perhaps even recognise a part of themselves within it. Bringing the exhibition into COYA creates a dialogue between art, hospitality and human connection that feels incredibly special.”

Together, the Afternoon Ritual and Echoes Within bring COYA Abu Dhabi’s food, art and hospitality together in a month-long celebration of Emirati creativity and the women who shape it.
